Earlier this month, AVUHSD hosted its annual Independent City event where foster youth are able to prepare for adulthood and emancipation.

R. Rex Parris High School is an alternative education setting for students who have fallen behind in credits at their previous schools. By combining an accelerated variable credit system, individual instruction, technology, a Common Core State Standards-based curriculum, and a Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program, the faculty and staff are dedicated to promoting student success, not only in academics, but also in their personal and social lives.
